I’m coming to this after the One Second After series, the Going Home series, and the Charlie’s Requiem series being hooked on the post CME/EMP theme. I really enjoyed this series. Took me a little bit to get used to the narration as he reads it more like telling the story than acting it out, there are a few variations from women and men voices and he does a bayou accent for a character I liked but is not as ranges as say Duke Fontain in the Home and Requiem books but it’s not a bad thing at all just takes some getting used to. There were some characters that I don’t feel we got the total closure or ending for now that I’ve just literally finished the trilogy a few minutes ago and am freshly thinking about it but you can easily assume if they didn’t outright die it all worked out for them and I won’t name names for anyone about to listen/read but you’ll know when you finish. All in all it was great, kept me wanting more and rooting for the good guys.
