Love the series but the first two thirds of this entry felt pretty filler and a step down from prior books. MC kills stuff, evolves, and evolves his pets. That’s literally the first 15 hours of the book. It wasn’t until the last third of the book we are introduced to anything new or that really pushed the story forward. It’s an amazing series so far but please don’t drag it out forever by making only the last third of each book actually antvance the plot. The traveling author was a neat touch though.
