This is such a good series. The story is always taking you off guard and things come out of left field while still making sense. Carl and Donut’s characters develop surprisingly well while keeping to the heart of themselves and Katia quickly became a loveable character.
I would have given it 5 stars if not for the narrator for Vernon. I honestly needed to speed up his chapter due to him completely taking me out of the story with his performance and drastically different audio quality.
My other gripe is the INSANELY overcomplicated design for this dungeon level. After about half of the book I decided to stop trying to follow along and wait until they get out since it had way too many layers of complexity.
