First let me say that I loved this story when I was I read it after it first came out & have been waiting for the audio. It does have heavy themes of dealing with & surviving cancer, mental illness, blackmail &child abuse but done in a tasteful manner. I was rooting for Grace & Jacob from the beginning ; I was glad that Grace was a “stand by your man” & Jacob grew enough to accept her support & love while learning to love her. Steamy hot sexy, great plot, all ends nicely tied up with happy ending . Having worked in OR, not all of those scenes were factual but didn’t detract from story. Highly recommended…I will listen again. Thank God for a good female narrator.
