When an old college friend shows up at the two elderly sisters Civil War era home, stating her life is in danger the sisters are unable turn her away. What follows is the appearance of their guests familiy and the chaos begins.
Diesel, a Maine coon cat is also a guest, as his owner, (Charlie known from Ms James Cat in the Stack series) is out of town.
This cozy has enough mystery and charm, but after sifting through many red herrings it ends rather abruptly. However it is a cute book for taking a break from heavier stories. The characters are endearing enough that I may look for the second book of the series when it’s released.
