I want to like this. The narration is very off putting, and is definitely contributing to my issues with the story. The characters sound so weak and timid.
I get that it is a horrible, world ending event, but….
Dad is a 12yr Ranger combat vet. I’m glad he’s not written as a superhero, but he’s not a strong character.
The kid is soo much worse.
