Mc went from wanting to be an even greater slayer than and parents and make a difference, also someone who he couldnt stand the thought of being someone tool to just focused on revenge and even let’s people like the vamps and gods control and string him around as long as he can achieve his end goal. so the character in my opinion has lost most of the things I liked about him and with whatever the vamps did to him and all the games between them and other factions is just annoying and not what I look for in books. kinda disappointed chrysalis is my favorite fantasy novel so far so thought I would give their other books a try
