holy cow this was bad. the narration was fine. Despite how well produced the intro was, the vast majority of the audiobooks is just a basic, competently read audiobook with no music or sound effects.
the real problem is the story. There is literally NOTHING here to like. no progression. no tension. no comedy. the characters don’t have any chemistry. The main character seems like a psycho so you don’t really have a reason to root for her. even the side characters seem to only exist to stand around and just kinda be there. they dont grow or interact in any interesting ways
the only marginally good parts are the interludes where we follow another character as she learns the ropes of being super powered, but even that ends on a dull note.
maybe i just don’t get the point. I’m fine with mindless fun, but this is both mindless and fails to be fun.
