Didn’t actively dislike this book, just found it slow to develop and dull. A lot of procedure with uninteresting character interactions. No feeling of suspense. As the first book in a series, it’s understandable that a decent amount of time is spent on character introductions and some development. Sadly, I only found one of the characters the least bit intriguing. I’m a little over halfway through, having thought the pace might pick up, but I’m done with the slog. I don’t care “whodunnit.”
On the upside, I thought the narrator was good.
