The two books are really just one. For all that is drawn out, not a lot happens. The end of the two book series is anticlimactic, as it is heavily foreshadowed. It is left with loose ends and the absolute doormat of a female character doesn’t even pursue her hunches…like the birth control issue. It’s a “happy ending” only in the way that she gives up and in…who wants to read about a doormat? I regret the purchase, even on sale.
