What did you like best about Abducting Abby? What did you like least?
I liked Abby and the premise of the Alien biology. I disliked Zoran, he is everything I loathe in a person – selfish, bullying, controlling and thoughtless. He never has to face any consequences for his terrible selfish behaviour.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Abby is an interesting person and the things we learn about the Aliens and their culture. The tension of the disturbingly unbalanced sheriff tracking her held my interest. The least interesting were some of the sex scenes. I was prepared to forget continuing with the story when some of the sex scenes were written from the point of view of a preteen boy fantasizing about sexually dominating a girl. The part where sodomizing the heroine is an essential part of process – please!
Which character – as performed by David Brenin – was your favorite?
David is a fantastic narrator. He handled all the characters brilliantly. I really appreciated the way he brought out each character’s individuality as he inhabited them in the story
Did Abducting Abby inspire you to do anything?
Only to not continue with this series – a good idea but not well developed. It is amazing to me that a King could not even protect his queen from being raped by other men in his own house but has to flee?
