I loved the concept of a tale told from the villains point of view. I’ve read some dark subjects. The unnecessary portrayal of all women as bimbos and idiots was annoying. I don’t know if the voice actor was instructed to make all women sound like clueless valley girl stereotypes or it was his personal choice, but it was annoying. Using repeated trauma to turn the succubus into a masochist was disturbing. Finally, using the word re**rd as an insulting noun and adjective was ugly and jarring. It is the reason I won’t be finishing the book. Disgusting. Seems like potential for a great story but full of hate for minorities in its wording plot. This could be effective as a plot mechanism but in this case it is clear the author just has this worldview himself and doesn’t see a problem with it.
