The character mordecai changes forms every book and this book he is a toad creature. The voice actor made a robot like croak after each sentence and it was nearly unbearable. Luckily the character is banished from the storyline part way through almost like they knew but my god the croaking would be agitating. I do have misophonia so I’m sure most people didn’t care. All books are great though. Only complaint is the erratic croaking
