I was excited to see Book 12 of this excellent series was available. Jim Powell and all of the old characters again sprang to life with a few new favorites being introduced. I think this book could be read on its own, but for the best experience it really needs to be read in context. After a 2 year ordeal of survival, a new and complex threat is looming over the community, and now I can hardly wait to continue this “edge of the seat” plot line when book 13 comes out. Franklin Horton has become one of my favorite authors.
As usual, Kevin Pierce’s narration is outstanding and brings every character to life vividly.
Can hardly wait for Book 13!
