Narrator ruins it. Premise is flimsy but interest

I’m going to see if I can return this. Jeff Hays does a bunch of great voice acting, but his narration of the main character is *awful* – he sounds like a 56 year old man when he’s supposed to be portraying a fit 20-something guy. His diction is reminiscent of “The Tick” from the TV show – which was fine for the Tick as he was supposed to be bumbling and sort of stupid, but as this protaganist it’s just grating.

The title itself is interesting – the premise is super flimsy and popcorny, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. I’m going to see if I can return this and get the e-book instead.
