The event that set the tone for the story was great including the detail that set up the story but a trained ranger constantly overthinking and making the same obvious mistakes gets old really fast. Situational awareness doesn’t exist and the absence of realistic logic amongst the group even after multiple experiences is out the window. They spend more time trying to hold on to a non reality than they do surviving. Anxiety ridden head case should be the title of this overworked fiction.
