This was not written for the adult reader. This seemed to be written for testosterone-driven kids who spend their time in the gym and playing first-person video war games. The writing is juvenile, the plot non-existent, and the reading bland and uninflected. For a novel billed as being a thrilling ride with unanticipated directions and creative storyline, this came a huge disappointment. I spend a lot of time commuting, and am always looking for new series to indulge in during long hours in the car. Generally, I can give a slow-starting story time to evolve. After a full hour with not a hint of any plot, though, I had to give up.

If you are looking for the next Gray Man series, skip this one. Brad Lee is not Mark Greaney!
