I’m not sure if it was the narration that turned me off or the storyline or both. I do Audible because I’m on the road all the time and I just need the narrator or narrators, in this case, to just read the text. The narrators acted out every single word, which made it very difficult to listen to. It was like nails on a chalkboard. The narrator for McKenzie put emphasis on every single word. It was over the top and unnecessary. I was very disappointed in the overall storyline and the author trying to tie up loose ends at the very end instead of trickling them through the entire book. I would not recommend this book.
