Over all i liked the book, action was good, lots of slice of life. Good character development. The magic and skill were kinda weird. Very little was said on how they normally worked, For example, MC slotting/eating a rare skill cost him 2 mortium and 24 hours for the skill to be ready. An epic skill cost a whooping 10 mortium and 20 days?!??!?! that’s ludicrous. Mortium is so hard to get, i was really looking forward to what he could purchase in the special shop with it. So if we follow that same logic, a Legendary skill will cost 50 mortium, and 400 days to prep. i hate to thing what an artifact level skill would be, i’m assuming our MC will never get those or the Mr. Grey will have to perform some shenanigans for him to be able to use it in any kind of time frame. and I wish there were more numbers. Additionally the levels seem very arbitrary. no number or EXP listed with kills. I mean the group killed 2 very extremely hard life ending monsters and only got 2 levels each??? that seems insane to me. We also don’t know how much Magitech a skill costs to use or maintain. but those are just my personal gripes. Overall the book was well written and edited, and i will be buying further books.
