Listened up to chapter 9 — had to return it (rare for me to return a book). Why? Constant gross out humor. Game show premise is a substrate for meaningless violence. Protagonists get unending level ups for almost no reason. Performance is pretty good but game updates are really grating (a started to dread hearing “Reward!” shouted in the most annoying way). Foot fetish jokes put me over the line. Maybe it gets better but I couldn’t take it anymore.
