Just finished “How to Kill a Guy in 10 Dates” by Shailee Thompson and honestly… this one just wasn’t it for me.
This book took me forever to finish. I seriously thought about DNF’ing it multiple times, but since it was a book club pick I pushed through to the end. For about 85% of the book, it felt like a lot of rambling with no real story pulling things together. I kept waiting for something to happen… and it just never really did. When it finally picked up near the end, it had a few sarcastically funny moments, but by then it was a little too late for me. I kept hoping the story would develop more meaning or depth, but it just didn’t land the way I expected. Unfortunately this one felt like a waste of my time. Not every book can be good, and this one just wasn’t for me.
