DO NOT RECOMMEND THE AUDOBOOK!
This story really dragged me in at the beginning. I was on pace to finish it in less than 2 days but ended up DNFing. I really like the mystery and plot of knowing who these people are and what’s happened to them over the past several years. Unfortunately the romance felt forced and over complicated and just really didn’t make sense to me. I’ve read age gap before but this one just wasn’t for me. The things they say to each other made me roll my eyes too much. Overall the bad started out weighing the good so I stopped.
Also what ruined the audio aspect of this book was the fact it was not duet narration. Honestly that may have saved it. Usually the male narrator doing female voices is the worst, but unfortunately this time it was the female doing the MMCs voice. the only reason I am giving 2 stars for the performance instead of 0 is because the male narrator was pretty good and the female narrator was also pretty good except for the MMCs voice.
