I loved this book, but admittedly it’s possibly my least favorite in the series. It seemed a bit bloated at times, a lot of action happened off screen, and there weren’t as many small intimate intense fights as there were earlier in the series. Carl is often acting more as a general than as a soldier on the front lines, and when he is on the front lines it’s just one front out of 5 or so major battles happening at the same time.
With all that said, there are still plenty of hilarious moments, plenty of action, great character moments and lots of twists and turns. I love this series, I love this book, and I will be rereading it very soon.
