I enjoy military and political fiction. While this is certainly fiction I am afraid it is more fantasy. I found the story shockingly void of any literary elements. No character development,. Even the protagonist was lacking in any history or development. Based on the narrative it is difficult to even consider him a protaganist let alone interesting or likable. The story was lacking in a defined plot or even suspense. Needless to say I will look further.
