I disliked the choice of dual narration (one VA reads the whole chapter, including all the characters) when duet narration would have been so much better (both voice actors participate across each chapter, voicing different characters). The male VA chapters were much better than the female VA chapters, mostly because of her style of reading that kept throwing me out of the story. It was like listening to Disney’s Rapunzel reading you a bedtime story anytime she wanted to show feeling, which was not right for this content, imo. The story itself was decent but I’ve started to pick up on the formula for this author’s storylines and themes; not a bad formula, but it wasn’t as enjoyable as some of the other audiobooks because of the dual narration choice.
