I feel like I’ve just gone through a damn Category 5 hurricane! My adrenaline is off the charts…and was basically that way from the very beginning of Book 1, right to the very last word of Book 4…and, if there is a god of books (that I love – ‘cause that’s all that matters *shrug*), there will be more from this out-of-this-world, ultra-imaginative, heart-wrenching, beautiful, mind-altering series. My granddaughter would point out each and every instance of hyperbole I’ve used…she’s ten and loves to point out her knowledge and understanding of her newest “grownup” words…and definitely nowhere near ready for my explanation of why I feel it necessary and acceptable in the moment.
I freaking held my breath the entire time…and I devoured ALL the books, back to back…I’m not sure I’ve slept in three days. I am both elated and sad…whatever shall I read/listen to next?!
I now have a new favorite author.

Okay…so, this series has set the bar very high indeed, for any other books I read going forward. Once you read, and truly appreciate, this series…it will cause you to be more critical of what you consider “great”, as it pertains to fictional books in this genre…but for me, in ALL fictional genres…just sayin’.
That said, I will NOT put one bit of detail in this review, because I detest when a reviewer actually summarizes a novel, and spoils a lot of the experience for a new reader. You either give the book a try, and determine if it’s for you…or you don’t. This series is M/M/M/Preg…wait, there are instances of a few more M’s 😉…it is harsh at times, but it’s very important for the development and execution of the story. It is sweet. It is spicy. It is freaking funny!
I will say that each and every character is well developed and the settings surrounding them are amazingly created. It is very difficult to pick a favorite character, but if I must…Pykh wins. My heart! All the others rotate through second place throughout the series…like, all of them.
The main characters are…well…let’s just say…complicated and surprising…I’d say don’t get too attached to first impressions and do not assume anything! It’s so much fun when you finally SEE.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Joel. Leslie. He is THE man. If it is narrated by Joel Leslie, you MUST expect to be blown away. I knew each of the main characters without introduction…he used their individual voices to introduce the chapters, people! He read these books with ALL the emotions and delivery necessary for the listener to freaking BE there, in each moment.
