I looooove a good post-apoc read—so I was stoked to give this one a try, when finding it on StoryOrigin. Sadly, this author seems to favor more ‘telling’ writing style than showing, so what should’ve been an exciting, edge-of-my-seat read, was more like a textbook, especially combined with this style of narration.
Sad, thought maybe I’d stumbled onto a new-to-me post-apoc series and author but I guess not.
Thanks anyway!
Not bad by any means, just not good either.
“It’s okay” which = 2 stars on Audible and 3 stars everywhere else.
🎙️Audio:
Ehhh, this was just okay. The narrator sounded borderline bot-like, opting to just dictate this novel, emotionlessly, rather than to voice-act any of it. Made it challenging at times, to pay attention.
