- Would you consider the audio edition of Seti’s Heart to be better than the print version?
- I think so… I loved the narration. Logan’s friends are all very fun and lively – you got a real sense of personality. The narrator also does a great job with the villains and he brings out a lot of humor in the main characters… He embraces the somewhat goofy aspects of this mythological adventure and brings out the playfulness. It’s a great listen.
- What did you like best about this story?
- I actually though the sexual dynamic between Logan and Seti was really great…. I loved that it changed and it really charted character development. I think that is something that isn’t explored a lot in m/m romance… and I enjoyed it. I think the book has some great steamy material, but the humor in the book and the character of Logan were my favorite.
- What does Joel Leslie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
- He has a really vibrant theatrical approach to narration… it might not be everyone’s cup of tea (if you like a kind of removed detached reader) but I thought it really brought it to life. He has strong comic timing and that really played well in some of the sequences – particularly where if the material had been taken too seriously it probably would have verged on silly. Instead he embraced the Indiana Jones/The Mummy campiness of some of the scenes and I thought it really was great.
- Who was the most memorable character of Seti’s Heart and why?
- Logan – he’s a really likable hero.
