The narrator sounds like an AI generated voice- except when she does the characters. But all the internal dialogue is robotic with strange
pauses…?Andthennopausesatall. It was a very disjointed performance. I think I might have tolerated the actual content with a more endearing reader.
As it was, it was a tough slog.
The story has a good premise that intrigued me, just no real plot.
And the ending just flops onto your lap out of nowhere. It doesn’t feel earned nor can you point to the steps that led the heroine to that conclusion. It just appears in her rather empty head. I wanted to like it, but it was disappointingly flat. This is definitely one for the plus catalog. I will be returning it to spend my credit on something more substantial.
