I love regency romance novels (call them my “fun books” used to de-stress myself), & am used to the Julia Quinn-type (& other wonderful women narrators) about England late 1700-early 1800’s books. This has a male narrator & at the start, not used to a male narrator + the start of this was a bit different, so I actually tried to return it, but (THANKFULLY!!) it was 1 that couldn’t be returned. So I kept going and oh my am I glad I did keep listening! This is truly a WINNER by all standards! I think I just needed to get used to a male narrator, but once I got the hang of him, he was a superb narrator! I cannot say what my favorite part about this book was, as it ALL, including the narrator, was soooo great! At times I laughed so hard out loud I feared I’d wake my husband up, then there were such touching times between family, friends & the couple who were made just perfectly to love each other, & also other characters that popped out in the book as wonderful surprises! The story is so unique & charming it had me hook, line, & sinker! The ending is truly a Grande Finale! Please try this book! It was an absolute honor to listen to on Audible! I am SO glad I couldn’t return it! I would’ve missed out on 1 of the best books ever! I’ll continue in the series without a doubt! A True Winner I wish I could give 10 Stars to!
