As human civilization on Earth meets a tragic end, a man enters an RPG-style dungeon with his ex-girlfriend’s cat. Please do not ask me to explain how this premise works or why this book is so good. I don’t know that I can really answer. All I can tell you is that it works and you’ll be rooting for Carl within the first few chapters. This story is made all the better by an exceptionally talented narration by Jeff Hays.
If you are a fan of RPGs, D&D or perhaps even just cats, you will like this book.
