These stories are all the same and have a huge BS factor involved. How is it possible for hundreds of people to shoot and ambush a jeep but never shoot out a single tire? No matter what scenario occurs, some miracle just happens to develop and save the characters time and time again. For instance, the Riemann family needs to cross a river that is heavily guarded to finish their journey. Magically, a young boy and old man tap on the jeep window and tell them of a 90 year old black man that has a ferry several miles away. I can’t stand the miracles that are placed into these stories when a writer corners his characters and needs a way out. Instead of taking a moment to teach the listeners, he writes some BS and loses the opportunity. All of these stories start off with people far more wealthy than the average or possess skill sets from a decorated war hero former career. It’s just laziness or lack of skills/ talent from the authors that write them. That’s enough of my ranting! The author kept his family scratch free and alive so he can sell you the next book he comes out with in this series.
