The conflict: personal responsibly vs reliability of AI control and legal issues. This book is definitely worth reading for the insight of our future dependence on AI. It wasn’t boring, but not a fun read.

The story involves a family of five on vacation. My thoughts were that the family was dysfunctional and the story itself was often contrived. All the characterizations, except for the youngest child, were inconsistent. Both parents and the two older children were irresponsible and flighty.

The narration was bland, another reason I couldn’t care for the father. I thought I was listening to an AI generated version. After I finished the book, I checked and two narrators were, in fact, listed.
