I thought that this story was going to be about fanatical prepper, and I was really pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t. Yes the hero of the story was knowledgeable as far as survival of the fittest was concerned, but the story line was much deeper than that. It showed how fast our world can fall apart. The ones who are skilled in survival are the ones that might make it when WW3 hits. The rest of us are not going to make it. The thing is that if you aren’t hanging out in the mountains somewhere no matter how good you are at survival you probably are not going to make it either. It shows how fast society can fall apart and that our government is not prepared to take care if us after it happens. You are on your own. Every man for himself. Good story line most of the time. The hero always wins.
