What other book might you compare Canyon to and why?
The Road by Cormac McCarthy, not only because it’s dystopian and because it’s about a man who has to make difficult and selfless decisions to save those he cares about, but also because of the western influences which are so common in McCarthy’s work, and now Abrahams.
What does Kevin Pierce bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He has a flair for voices that fit a western genre.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, but I don’t want to reveal it to those who haven’t listened to it yet.
Any additional comments?
I’ve never had eight hours fly by so quickly as I did when listening to Canyon. I look forward to reading and/or listening to Wall.
