This is my first “Lit-rpg” book, though I’m quite familiar with boardgame and video game mechanics. The book incorporates these in a way that makes sense for the story. I was worried it’d be cheesy but it’s not. I found myself thinking about the book when I wasn’t listening to it and looked forward to when I could hop back on.
