Theo and Eddie are both (inexplicably) in the closet when they meet but they share an instantaneous attraction. Theo is an up and coming actor and Eddie is a small town gardener, so, obviously, they have nothing in common and can never hope to find long term happiness, but in the short-term – definitely!

As luck and love will have it, they find themselves in love and only some clever thinking on Eddie’s part will show them that they can have love and happiness and remain true to themselves.

**

This is a delightfully low angst, short-story of two English blokes finding love in a surprising place. There’s not a lot of relationship building and some disconcerting time jumps but the ending is a solid HFN. There are a few plot holes to be ignored, but it’s a simple and sweet and sometimes sexy way to spend a couple of hours.

I was very pleased that I listened to this rather than read it because Joel Leslie gave it such an authentic flare with his accents and clever narration. Eddie is delightfully country and Theo is perfectly posh. It really made this story “pop” and elevated it from a nice to an excellent way to spend a couple of hours!
