- Very well written and read. I was drawn in from the first page to the very last update. The story is well organized and interesting. The trial and the reactions of the people involved was most interesting, especially since I am a lawyer. In my opinion both sides did an excellent job. I was particularly impressed with the police officers who put their whole heart into investigating the case. The Judge was most impressive. He was a no nonsense straight arrow Judge – the kind of Judge that is fair and decisive. I really liked him. The Prosecutor, Don Weber, was also impressive. He put his all into his duty of representing the people of Illinois in prosecuting Paula Sims. The book does not give quite as much insight into the Defense attorney but I cannot believe he did not realize his client was responsible for the deaths of her daughters. However, everyone does deserve a defense in court and he did the best he could with the horrible person he defended.
I truly despise Paula and Robert Sims. I believe they are both selfish, sick and evil individuals that brought out the worst in each other.
The reader did a fantastic job!! His voice and tempo were perfect for this book. I highly recommend as a fascinating page turner that you won’t want to stop until the story is finished.
