I was into the story. The characters are a bit simple, but I liked the premise. Unfortunately, a few hours in, the protagonist seems to blame the apocalypse and aftermath on American liberal democracy and the “mainstream media”. Which makes it a bit silly and demonstrates a lack of understanding of complex domestic and international policy. Maybe it’s just the protagonist view, not the author’s…but I find it hard to take the story seriously now.
