The indifference and hate relationship between is an interesting part of the overall story. Both of them have done terrible things in the past and have to live with their choices.

My big issue is Zach’s inability to take steps to heal or lessen the trauma from their past. I’m not saying he should ever forgive Ryun for what he did but out of all the elders that gave their life to empower him at the end; he has failed, forgotten, or has chosen to overlook the one request that would help him move on. I can’t remember her name currently but she planned to make herself the last person he spoke to for that reason.

Ryun realizes that he has issues but he has surrounded himself with people to help temper his actions so that he doesn’t commit the same atrocities again. He listens to them and starts to think before just acting out. Anrosh is a great counter to his just to a conclusion mindset.

Overall I’m enjoying the series so I’m gonna continue listening/reading because I have to know how it all ends.
