First of all. Let me just state that reviews are nothing more than opinions based upon the preferences of those reading/listening to the books/audiobooks being reviewed.
Performance-5/5 Phil Thron does an outstanding job through out the whole series with the voices. There are a lot of them that he does.
Story-5/5 , Roman Prokofiev is one of my favorite authors. If you listened to the Rogue Merchant(his first series), this series somewhat piggy backs off that one. It’s not necessary to have listened to it to enjoy this series, but you will understand more details if you have. This series is a Post Apocalyptic Dystopian (Mad Max in first few books) type of series that can be pretty fast paced. Roman Prokofiev is known for ending each book on a high note (some other reviewers complained about this) so if this annoys you, be prepared. Ultimately, without spoiling anything, this whole series is entertaining and thought provoking. I’m sure there are literary flaws but I listened to all nine books and am on my second way through them because I was entertained the whole way through.
