This was my first experience with this author’s work. There were many elements to the story that I really enjoyed, such as: military robot mechs, space travel, and exciting battle scenes. There were some factors that I found less appealing, such as: xenophobia, belittling the opposite sex, and how some of the characters’ actions seemed unrealistic even within the story’s framework. I was very entertained by Mary L Phillips’ narration. I liked all the different voices which she provided for the various characters. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
