There is an art to stretching an underlying story over multiple books while making each book an interesting and engaging story unto itself. The author is failing miserably at it. This book was mostly a disjointed jumble of nonsense and minutiae. Themes such the personal feelings for the horrors the crawlers endure are repeated so often they come across as whining making the listener become indifferent. Overacting on voices made many hard to understand what was actually said? The sound effects are mostly terrible and detract from what little story there is.
