oblivion is the end of all things it’s, but somehow an insect swarm is immune? if thats true then one of two things is the problem I been steadily having with this series, 1 oblivion is not the end of all things and the whole premise of this book of essence, paths, dao, classes do not follow and actual laws suggested by the author, they are arbitrary and poorly stated. 2 the author is trying to keep the stakes up arbitrarily and thrown out his own suggesed rules and or laws of said universe. other issues kale and Zak are the same person pretty much and reading about them is tiresome and boring. kill them off already, I tired of the whole ” I’m better than the powers that be so I’m going to kill everyone else so I can establish my own power to be” which is pretty much everything they hate. there’s a lot of problems with this book. a lot of repetition and a lot of the same chapters over and over again. there’s another issue that’s been nagging at me through this whole series. is the consumption of chi in their techniques. it’s like they fight for 10 minutes and somehow they’ve blown through half their chi reserve. it reads the same as someone just starting out with barely any reserves. being in the eternal realm and still having problems with chi reserves? meanwhile, classes and skill users can fight for days on end yet it is stated that cultivators are more powerful in the later realms? power scaling is inept and it bugs me that Zack got a ridiculous amount of power on one mission than anybody else in this realm when previously he was pretty much nothing an attempt from the author to make him relevant really bugs me. The overall premise of the series is intriguing and interesting but ruined by inconsistency, plot armor, and power scaling.
