This was so much fun!!! Such a cheesy concept but excellently executed! After listening to this, I went and checked out the authors other works only to see that he wrote another book I thoroughly loved, Jurassic Dead, which involves Zombie Dinosaurs 😉 Well this one involves an extinct (well thought to be) giant shark called Megalodon.

I loved the plot and setting of this! A luxury hotel built under water, with lots of supposedly bullet proof glass, sure what could possible go wrong!! Despite planning for all likely scenarios, like storms, earthquakes etc, how is one supposed to plan for a shark over 60 long and intent on getting to the delicious food inside the hotel, and I’m not talking about the canapes!!! What can you do against such a beast? Well, that’s the question that Coco, the marine biologist has to answer since her boss is such an a$$hole and only cares about his precious hotel.

The author really brought the shark and ocean to life in his descriptive writing. I had no problem picturing the scenes and even believing them! The explanation about how an extinct shark could possibly survive is plausible (well once you suspend belief that is 😉 Lol) and tied into the story really well. I flew through the book and had a hard time unplugging because I needed to see what happened next!

In all, this was an entertaining, engaging and addicting read. With plenty of action and plenty of scenes to have you on the edge of your seat, this is a must read. I so want to see this as a movie!!

This isn’t the first book I’ve listened to that’s read by Andrew Tell, and it definitely won’t be my last. Even though a lot of this book is told through a female perspective, I never felt that a female narrator would of been better, Andrew Tell did an amazing job of bringing this book to life. He really brought the tenseness to another level and made for effortless listening.

*I received a copy of this for review. This in no way affected my thoughts.*
