- What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
- Story and Characters were somewhat interesting, however, just when I was locked into the story, it abruptly ended. Ran to my computer to find a second book, but none existed that I could find and none are likely to exist because this is not a newly written book. Some things in the story were not followed up on, like what did they find in the Walmart truck and how it was useful to them? Whether or not they ran into any trouble on the way back to the farm, Guess we’ll never know. Read rumors that the book continues in Kindle versions, but I’m not likely to “Read” it on kindle, since there is a reason I buy Audio books.
- Who was your favorite character and why?
- I liked all three of the main characters, each added their own to the story.
- Which character – as performed by Kevin Pierce – was your favorite?
- All three of the main characters have their own likability, Kevin Pierce is a master and I have listed to a lot of books narrated by Kevin Pierce and even he sounded like he wasn’t all that impressed.
- If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The World Burns: A Post-Apocalyptic Story?
- Cutting any of the scenes would detract from the already lacking story.
- Any additional comments?
- Book is very short and ends abruptly without warning, the writing and Character acting is perfect and the characters are likable, except for the bad guys who are pretty generic. Some good generic how to information is embedded into the story about food storage in the Apocalypse if you happen to live in an area where hunting and growing food is an option. Story felt like it was written for a TV series that could have been aired during Prime time.
