generally I liked the concept of it being a future history. however the authors concepts from other books such as carbon crypto currencies etc all sorta meld together. I thought it represented some aspects really well in geopolitics and energy policy but other points it read like a naive Redditor solar punk fantasy. that is to say anti nuclear energy and naive to what it will actually take to frustrate those from their grip on power and their sort of narcissistic death drive for the planet. overall aside from its ending I think red moon is his better novel regarding these concepts.
