The lead female character goes on and on. I feel like there is a decent story in there somewhere but it’s drawn out. So much detail, over explaining and repeating things we already know. By book three we get that the MMC is obsessed and would do anything for Lyr. We get it. The way he is always dramatically calling her name gets to you. Sadly I don’t think I am reading past this book. I desperately tried to get into this series.
