- What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
- The author seemed to dwell on the predator Mac’s twisted childhood in what can only be called a gratuitous way. You don’t need to revel in endless, sickening details to make your point. It lent nothing to the story. In fact, it seemed perverse.
Unlike Mr. Olsen’s previous book, “Son”, this isn’t just a horrific, well-researched, true crime drama. It’s one thing to get inside a predator’s head. Quite another to write a book one thinks the predator would have enjoyed reading. I’m disgusted. - What do you think your next listen will be?
- Nothing by Jack Olsen after this.
- Which character – as performed by Kevin Pierce – was your favorite?
- No one
