I’ve listened to a lot of Soundbooth Theater LitRPG productions and I was very disappointed with this one. It started fine, introduction to the world and Alice as a character was fine. But eventually the negative slowed down to a halt in the Drow/Dwarf war when the villan was reveled. It took so long to resolve the issue that I found myself looking for other books to read. Now that I reflect on it, there were multiple segments where the story just repeated itself with events just acting out the same.
As far as the neration… most of the voice actors were to the high standard of Soundbooth production. The exception was Dorrie Sacks, who is the main narrator. I’m not sure if it’s the editing or an affectation, but she took too many deep breaths during the reading. To the point I couldn’t concentrate on the narrative and just waited for the next deep breath. There were also some sections that the files were corrupted or the editing cut to the next chapter mid sentence.
Overall I won’t be keeping up with the series.
